Come be a part of history

On August 1st, we will make a live recording of a brass quintet onto wax cylinder. The cylinder and a public testimonial signed by the event's participants will be buried in a time capsule at Edison's birthplace in Milan, Ohio–with instructions for its retrieval and playback in the year 2109.

Phonovention 2009 will feature vendor tables and a host of educational presentations on phonographs, records, and the early recording industry. The highlight will be the keynote by acoustic recording engineer Peter Dilg, followed by Mr. Dilg's live recording session of  "The Phonovention Rag."  Come be a part of history!
